I decided to treat myself to my very first professional nail service, opting for shellac on my natural nails. Unfortunately, within just two days, the shellac had completely peeled off three of my nails. I reached out to the provided contact number, and they did schedule me for a repair appointment to fix the fallen polish. A couple of weeks later, my nails began to look quite rough, prompting me to return and pay for the shellac removal. Being unfamiliar with the proper removal technique, I was surprised when the technician proceeded to remove the shellac using a grinder. Upon leaving, I discovered my nails were left with significant divots from the grinding, and they had become incredibly thin, almost paper-like. Even a month later, my nails are still severely damaged; I'm forced to keep them extremely short as they chip, tear, and painfully bend backward due to their extreme thinness. I've been diligently applying nail strengtheners and various treatments in an attempt to aid their recovery. This is incredibly upsetting, especially since I had naturally nice, thick, and healthy nails before this experience. My subsequent inquiries with other salons confirmed that a grinder should only be used to gently remove the top layer, with a solution used for the rest, whereas this technician used the grinder for the entire removal process. I contacted the salon's provided number to explain the damage but never received any response, making it clear that customer satisfaction and quality service are not priorities here; I will absolutely never return and strongly advise against anyone else visiting. To address Deluxe's reply, I did indeed contact your salon immediately after my nails were damaged and received no reply whatsoever; there was nothing you could have done to fix them even if I had allowed it, as the damage was already permanent, and I certainly have no intention of returning. Your technician completely ruined my natural nails by grinding them paper-thin, and at this point, only time will allow them to recover, making it quite telling that I only received a response after publicly posting my review.
